The Island Insulation Scheme offers free (for priority groups) or discounted home insulation to owner occupiers and private tenants on the Isle of Wight. The Scheme is funded and delivered by E.ON and supported by the Isle of Wight Council and Heatseekers. Installations are carried out by Mark Group.
The Heatseekers vehicle has advanced thermal imaging technology that can spot heat loss in homes. It can survey up to 1,000 properties per night and provide an image of each house, identifying unnecessary heat loss through poorly insulated walls and lofts.

A vehicle, like this one, will be working between 7pm and midnight in your area. The vehicle surveys at night in order to obtain an accurate image, as it is necessary for it to be dark and the heating to be on. The vehicle will travel at approximately 10m.p.h and carry warning lights.
The system can't see through walls or windows and is purely to help householders save energy.
